Many know Terry Pratchett as the wise and hilarious author of the Discworld fantasies. In his newest young adult offering, however, he enters the historical territory of Dickensian London, in particular the underground haunts of a teenaged tosher (sewer scrounger) named Dodger who is on a mission to save a fair damsel in distress.
Funny and heartfelt, with lots of cameos by 19th century figures (Mr. Charlie Dickens and Sweeney Todd to name a few), Dodger is sure to delight all readers in search of a great historical yarn.
